Stocking and sock aids

The brief
A German manufacturer of medical aids asked us to develop an aid for putting on compression socks and stockings. For anyone with limited mobility, bending down to pull a sock on can be difficult or impossible.
Solution
A seemingly simple product is actually demanding in terms of weld quality and surface treatment. The welds had to be precise, perfectly finished, and covered with a sufficiently thick layer of epoxy polyester powder coating to eliminate the risk of user injury or damage to the stocking.
Today, we produce approximately 10,000 units per year. The contract also includes packaging into retail boxes and transport to a German distribution center.
Inspiration
The stocking donner is an example of the comprehensive development, production, and logistics of a small, atypical product requiring high workmanship quality.
