Surface treatment of structural steel
Electrolytic or galvanic zinc plating can be performed in two ways. While acidic zinc plating looks excellent and resembles chromed surfaces, alkaline plating is more resistant to corrosion and withstands outdoor environments.
Powder coatings offer a literally inexhaustible palette of colour shades. The surface is pleasing to both the eye and the touch. The starting point is the RAL palette, but in practice, we mix colours according to customer requirements. You can choose a glossy, matte, or semi-matte finish, smooth or variously textured. Product branding using colour has no limits. The service life on steel is 10–20 years.
Hot-dip galvanising provides steel with excellent corrosion protection for decades. It is suitable for products placed outdoors if you do not have extraordinary aesthetic requirements for them.
For an exclusive finish, we offer galvanic plating with nickel or chrome. A nickel-plated surface is silvery with a slightly yellowish tint. It is smooth, highly aesthetic, and provides perfect protection against corrosion. It can also serve as a base for chrome plating.
A chromed surface has a cool, bluish tint and extreme gloss. Especially in thicker layers, it is practically indestructible. Plating offers premium aesthetics, extreme durability, and longevity. Plating is significantly more demanding than the application of zinc or powder coating, which is reflected in the higher price.
