Flower troughs for shops and offices
The brief
A French customer commissioned metal planters to bring their offices and shops to life — as is the custom in France. Given the design demands of those interiors, they called for specific dimensions and shapes.
Solution
We used galvanized steel sheet. It is resistant to damage, has an unlimited lifespan, and is well-suited for interiors. The main challenge was bending the sheet metal into curves and various angles. However, it was successful, and the result was worth it.
The trough creates an elegant impression on its own. Once planted, it transforms into a magical green oasis. The steel sheet confidently resists moisture and organic impurities. Water that overflows from the saucers under the pots will eventually evaporate, or it can be easily wiped away or removed with a wet vacuum cleaner.
Inspiration
An elegant sheet metal tank of almost any shape does not have to serve only as a planter. Equipped with a drain, it can serve as a dimensionally atypical trough or an indoor pond, which will increase air humidity and significantly enhance the quality of the space.
